Accreditation​

Advocacy & Professional Development​

Bibliographies

AJL’s SSCPL Division offers certificates of Basic and Advanced Accreditation to member libraries that achieve a high professional level in accordance with AJL Guidelines.

Advocacy and library management resources, guidance, and materials are available in our Members Only section. Interested members can join our Advocacy Committee.

Members have the opportunity to contribute their expertise in curation by submitting booklists to AJL’s Bibliography Bank.

Members may serve on Award Committees to select winning titles for AJL’s children’s, adult, and academic awards.

AJL’s annual conference provides educational and networking opportunities. Members receive a registration discount and are eligible for stipends and scholarships.

AJL is boasts a network of warm and caring people from around the world.  the best way to meet them is to get involved.  See if there is an AJL Chapter near you, sign-up for for an online Roundtable or event, join a Committee, or join the discussions on the Hasafran listserv.

Members have the opportunity to review books or write articles for AJL News & Reviews, to publish in AJL’s peer-reviewed journal Judaica Librarianship, as well as to author monographs about librarianship.

AJL hosts virtual events year-round. The AJL Presents series is open to the public and offers an opportunity for AJL members to share their expertise. Members-only Roundtables are held to provide education, support, and allow members to “talk shop.”
