Each spring and fall, AJL selects a list of juvenile Jewish holiday books that exemplify the highest standards of authentic Jewish representation and holiday spirit in both writing and illustration. The Holiday Highlights committee was first convened in 2020 and the inaugural list was published in Spring 2021.
These books are recommended for use by families, in schools, and in libraries. AJL hopes that the publishing world will look to the quality of these examples when creating new children’s books about Jewish holidays.
